The Churching of America by Rodney Stark and Roger Finke - People often say that religious participation in America is largely dying. Is that the case? Stark and Finke embarked on this historical study to determine whether or not this is a true statement. Their discovery was quite shocking In 1776, fewer than 1 in 5 Americans were active in church affairs. Today, church membership includes about 6 out of 10 people. What caused this to take place? What were the catalysts for growth in certain denominations and the means for death in others? All these questions are explored in The Churching of America.

Just Do Something by Kevin DeYoung - Many people make finding God's will for their life to be a confusing, anxiety-driven, and random endeavor. We're afraid if we go to the wrong school or take the wrong job that we will thwart God's plan for our lives. But, as DeYoung puts it, discovering God's will for our lives comes from trusting God and doing the next thing. It's a beautifully liberating approach to finding and living God's will.

Come and Welcome to Jesus Christ by John Bunyan - Gotta love the Puritan Paperback series. This work is a beautiful exposition of John 6:37, "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out."
